i was happy
all of the sudden
yet i couldn't stop drinking out of habit
spilling beer on my pants
frightened
i was happy while everything was in shambles
i was miserable without pain
my clothes smelled of beer the morning after
a sudden realisation of opportunities lost
gave me strength to see what i had won
i was happy
