dead trees on your backyard

It's not the sophisticated words,
carefully phrased sentences,
foreign terms in the right context,
not the meaning

It's the mirrors and windows.
It's always been about them,
everywhere, since the dawn
of humanity,

I don't believe in symbols,
not in the way most do.
But I guess we could say
I don't believe in oracles,
only in translations.
